Dana Gabel

Dana Gabel expressed early on an interest in the arts throughout her childhood.  Having access to numerous art venues, an advantage of growing up in New York City; her interests nurtured and encouraged by her parents.  Her father also sharing the same interests often exposing Dana to various artists and exhibits.  Although having no formal art training initially she continued to work and develop her artistic skills independently throughout elementary, middle and high-school.  Dana moved to Pennsylvania in 2007 from the Bronx, New York to attend Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. In May of 2011 she graduated Keystone College where she obtained a bachelor's degree in visual arts with a concentration in ceramics.  She has been able to continue to pursue ceramics upon her return to Pennsylvania as of August 2012.  Dana has shown work locally, these galleries include AFA Gallery and New Visions Gallery in Scranton, The Main Street Gallery in Carbondale, Moscow Clayworks in Moscow, Northeastern Biennial 2013 at the Hope Horn Gallery at the University of Scranton, and Mainstreet Galleries in Kingston.
